Fire and smoke losses can cause extensive damage to the entire structure. The damage comes mainly from the smoke leaving soot all over the walls, doors, ceilings, and contents. Unfortunately, this can be extremely hard to clean if the proper process isnt performed. Here is a great example from a job that SERVPRO of Aitkin, Carlton and West St. Louis Counties responded to. The door had extensive amounts of soot on it along with some streaking from the condensation off the window. But thanks to the effort and extensive training our crew members have using the refined restoration process we left the door looking "Like it never even happened."
